Stephanie Dalton

Through a synthesis of camera work, painting and collage, Stephanie explores the visual landscape of storytelling. She chooses the medium of collage because collage fuels the intuitive process and expands the boundaries of traditional image making.

Stephanie’s work is both layered and cerebral in technique as well as subject matter. By combining various printmaking & encaustic techniques she blurs the lines between painting, photography, and printmaking. Texture and imagery, ( both abstract + photographic ) blend together seamlessly to give the appearance of a cohesive composition bathed in a rich leather patina. Greatly influenced by her studies in Italy, Stephanie’s work is reminiscent of the fresco reveals found on plastered walls of Italian cityscapes.

Widely published in the commercial world, Stephanie’s work has appeared in major magazines such as: Newsweek, BusinessWeek and The Boston Globe. Additional images appear on book covers and product packaging. Her imagery adorns corporate boardrooms as well as travel brochures. Recently she just completed a series of limited editions for the passengers of the Silversea WorldCruise 2007.  In addition to these accomplishments, her collage paintings have appeared in several major motion pictures such as Failure to Launch, In the Company of Spies, and the upcoming releases in 2007 of Enchanted, and I Am Legend.

Corporate and Private Collectors include: Babson Financial, SGA Investments, Silversea Cruises, LTD Bridgepoint Events~Chicago, American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Showtime, Newsweek, Business Week, Google~Atlanta, TIAA CREF Insurance, plus numerous private collectors in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Santa Fe, Santa Barbara, Chicago, Atlanta, Sarasota, Miami and London.  Her works have also been on display in museums in New York City + Israel.
